I wrote this song for my Grandmother, Kinkin. Strange how, 9 months after she died, my daughter Minya was born. Within a few weeks, expressions, mimics and smiles seemed to shine through Minya's face as a re-incarnation of Kinkin's...

I kiss hello and dread goodbyes
but the cycle rules our lives-
so I turn to find within her eyes
echoes of your life…
Strange how I find in her reflections of you,
in the mimicks and the smiles,
in the giggles and sounds
that ring so true-

but most of all, she’ll keep alive

Strange how she reminds me so much of you,
in moments touched by grace,
I see you in her face-
