When I set this world ablaze, will you dare to walk beside me through flame and pain? As I hide in fields of rain would you dare to sleep beside me gun in hand? I’m not quite sure anymore, I’m not quite sure what this is for… Sleep tight tonight, home alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone. If I leave these words in your hands, could you carry all their weight upon your fragile shoulders? Would you try to understand that what I do, I do for you, You are my home… I am so tired of Black and Tans, I am so tired, could you understand? Sleep tight tonight, home alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, home alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone. I see you walk alone in the dark, I must have dreamt you. …And I am so tired of Black and Tans, I am so tired, could you understand? Sleep tight tonight, home alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, home alone, (You are all the world to me) Sleep tight tonight, all alone… All alone…

paradise 03:26
The boys gather at the bar to laugh at what they’ve found, then she walks through the open doors and wrestles them to the ground; Promises are made in haste beneath the covers of a sheet…And a face. In the early light of a tired dawn I learned your name. You leave me naked, oh, Naked and Chained. You leave me naked, oh, Naked and Chained. Outside the doors the girls walk by a dime a dozen to the shout; I thought I had all their tricks and their promises figured out. She leaves behind a pair of earrings, a dress, and a ring…Just simple things, but the longer I keep, the less I sleep, all I feel is pain. You leave me naked, oh, Naked and Chained. You leave me naked, oh, Naked and Chained. I find my way beneath her touch, she doesn’t understand how much I trust a single word to a lonely mind becomes divine… To free myself from her gentle touch, I pull my hand away, but it doesn’t mean much it seems insane to like this pain you leave me Naked and Chained…

Into the walled city the ghosts stumble dazed, amidst cardboard mansions a man and life part ways; a hand reaches for food but finds only tin who’s grinning colored label adds insult to pain… So this is America… So this is America… So this is America, where has my dream gone? Into the glass battlefield another dolly flies as a frustrated angel’s scream mingles with a dying man’s cries; but the paper trail is often deadlier than the other gang’s gun for the Angel’s hands are tied, chained to the money man’s loan… So this is America… So this is America… So this is America, where has my dream gone? Into the wooden halls the paper makes its way, with the voices of the many, it might just live to see the day… But can we last this long or will we fade to grey like the hobo and the doctor, or a gunshot in the haze? Like a gunshot in the haze… Like a gunshot in the haze… So this is America… So this is America… So this is America, where has my dream gone?

Beneath the streets of Bogota, look around, you’ll see them thrive amidst the sewers they build their lives and Wilson rules the forgotten tribe, he knows there’s no justice for his kind… He says, “El Cartucho is our home, a flower that has lost its bloom, and on this street we all converge together now in the dark, we only find comfort in our brothers…” He stands up tall amidst the small and doles out the justice he feels right; Within these shadows his word is law, Wilson rules the forgotten tribe- he is the King Rat Child Amidst ourselves we choose the names of gringo stars and baseball games; our brotherhood is one of need ‘cause only Jaime (Jaramillo) really cares enough to stop and help us breathe… Now Jaime walks side by side, he’s not afraid of those who hide beneath these streets, he knows the truth lies in the words from Wilson’s mouth- the King Rat Child Blood is cheap and words flow freely when the media talks of us at all, they say that we are all “Disposables” and don’t even stop to think that words of hate could make us fall… Now Wilson walks, his head held high in spite the insults they let fly, and they all follow, young and old, from the darkness to the light… He stands up tall amidst them all and doles out the justice he sees right; Within these shadows his word is Law, Wilson rules the forgotten tribe- he is the King Rat Child…

the tree 05:18
Look in front of you and tell me, what do you see? This tree standing there on its own, is it what it seems to be? I look in front of me and see you standing there- we gaze at the same spot, but catch a different glare. To whom does Truth belong in this bright yet deceptive field where eyes converge together yet cannot see what’s real? There are two sides to every story, (two sides to every truth) There are two truths to every word, and no single side is worth dying for until the other one is heard… I see my line in your reflection, I see your soul in my reaction, we taste each other’s breath with reason and learn to read each other’s pain; still the tree stands between us, on the outside, not much has changed, but all around, our common vision has taken us to a higher plane… There are two sides to every story, (two sides to every truth) There are two truths to every word, and no single side is worth dying for until the other one is heard… There are two sides to every story, (two sides to every truth) There are two truths to every word, and no single side is worth dying for until the other one is heard. Oh, won’t you listen, listen to my story one more time…

crazy to me 05:07
Heard it said that the man in the mirror has lost his mind, ‘cause the man in the mirror he lost his soul; heard it said that the man in the mirror has lost it all, ‘cause the man in the mirror he sold his soul- Do you believe? Oh, do you believe? Lead the blind and run with the money, feed the greed and you will learn to rule; set the rules but cheat and ignore them, feed the need and Truth becomes a secondary tool- Do you believe those crazy words he speaks? It seems so crazy, so damn crazy to me… Heard it said the man in the glass cage found himself buried beneath his books now; sold his mind, sold his soul to the Devil, sold his faith and lost himself in his own lies- It seems so crazy, so crazy the things we need to believe! It seems so crazy, it seems so crazy… Damn crazy to me Crazy to me… A word in the air, a word on the screen, a word on the radio will make the dreamer dream… A word in the Book, a word on the page, a word in his mouth becomes the word of a sage… A word in my soul sold for a dollar, a dollar in his pocket is worth the soul of another… A word from his book, a lie from a sage, one man’s disciple becomes another man’s slave… He’s crazy…

page of lies 04:49
We didn’t see anything, we didn’t say a word as they were all carted away, we live in a missing page of lies. Barbed wire and fence for kinfolk in doubt who’s color and race is a disgrace to us, but who are we to judge this melting pot of lies where Truth is revered, but true history feared? You’ve cheated your books one too many times, my friend, and I’ve read all the pages you tore out… We didn’t see anything, we didn’t say a word as they were all carted away, we live in a missing page of lies…

winterland 10:01
You say, “It’s time to move beyond this Winterland, these rust covered hills have sold their charms to another fan… You don’t belong here anymore, please leave and close the door, I’ll forget you, one day, you’ll forget me too…” What about me? I’ve given all I had to give to these lands, You say, “Move on,” but I have nowhere else to go… You say, “It’s time to move beyond this Winterland, to leave behind these charred remains and this bitter sand… Bury the past like nothing ever came of it at all…” How fast you forget we who built these walls… What about me? I’ve given all I had to give to these lands, You say, “Move on,” but I have nowhere left to go…
