The Dreamer 04:30
He works from 9 ‘till 9 and wishes he were somewhere else, in a paper mashee dream floating on a carnival street amidst the waterlilies of roads not taken and hopes long ago forgotten… He works from 9 ‘til 9 and wishes he were somebody else, a six foot Adonis with golden skin who’s reality bends to his slightest whim… under the unchained, insatiable momentum of youth not yet tamed… I work from 9 ‘till 9, roaming like a lost thought through the catacombs of a mind who’s reins I barely hold… But it is here, in the dark, that I find myself; it is here, in the silence, that I hear myself; it is here, in the tombs of forgotten souls, that I find myself… I am just the dreamer who’s learnt to kiss the sin, and found that, in a world of tin, sometimes the gold you seek lies within… I am just the dreamer who’s learnt to kiss the sin, and found that, in a world of tin, sometimes the gold you seek lies within…

Teenage soldiers walk their beat beneath the hate filled eyes they flee, through this land I once called home, where only fear is free to roam… Strange how he looks just like me in his dusty green fatigues; strange how he shakes just like me, face to face on these ruined streets our histories meet… Now the guns ring out insane as ever- bullets and stone scream at each other, but the words are the same and the blood is the same- tell me now, when will our desert find silence again? Tell me, how many years, how much more pain until our desert finds silence again?… I won’t lie for you anymore… I won’t die for you anymore… As we walk these streets, our eyes must meet and learn to see- only the innocent bleed… Our leaders preach a hate they need to drive a fear, to feed their greed; So you and I must put aside fifty years of blood and pride- only then will peace be heard once again in our Silent Desert.

Spain 04:42
She came from southern Spain, she told me her name, but I just stood and stared; She dealt out all the cards, traded all her spades for Hearts, but I, I couldn’t have cared… She’s the one I’ve always dreamt of, she’s the one I couldn’t have, she’s the crime I never committed… She came from southern Spain and I fell into her game- a pawn on a board I couldn’t see… She played me as a king, I dreamt of her as Queen, But what a fool, what a fool I turned out to be… She’s the one I always dreamt of, she’s the one I couldn’t have, she’s the crime I never committed… She’s the one I always dreamt of, she’s the one I couldn’t have, she’s the crime I never committed… She could tear up all the cards, she could burn up all the boards, but I wouldn’t have cared… She’s the one I always dreamt of, she’s the one I always… She’s the one I always dreamt of, she’s the one I couldn’t have, she’s the crime I never committed…

Paradise 05:31
In the embrace of illusion I have found paradise. She lulls me with a vision of what a soul could be… The mind is set alight by a single spark and the body follows willingly. Paradise, like God, is what you want her to be. In the chaos of confusion you will find paradise. Here, in the realm without reason, life itself will suffice, for no truth outweighs another once you learn to see that a thought often reflects the mind that set it free. Paradise, like Truth, is what you want him to be. You and I may live worlds apart, speak in tongues that can’t relate and blame our differences on fate; But to the rain, all ground is the same, all rivers flow as one into the ocean. All water is just a part of the greater whole; The ultimate existence justifies itself by simply being. Paradise, like Existence, is what You let it be.
